“Yoga is for everyone… Regular practice builds up the bodies inner strength and natural resistance, helps to alleviate pain, and tackles the root rather than the symptoms, of a problem.” -B.K.S. Iyengar
It is said that with yoga practice, we remove the veils of ignorance. The veils are both mental and physical, and directly influencing each other. The beauty of yoga is creating a comfortable body to live in, clarifying and calming the mind, and nourishing the heart.
Regular practice improves and enhances our quality of life. It is the “yoking” of the mind to body. Being a treatment based massage therapist since 2004, I have unique insight into creating customized yoga sessions for you. The restrictions and imbalances we find in your massage sessions can be specifically addressed in your individualized yoga sessions with a co-created intelligent wellness plan.
Conditions that are organ based and systemic to the entire body are supported by yoga; including but not limited to digestive issues, chronic illness, mental health and organ health. I’d love to be the bridge to connect you to this world of wellness.

Stiil waters run deep.
Yin yoga allows us to dive deeply into long held, passive poses where time and gravity allow for the deepest of openings. Yin yoga assists in developing greater flexibility, deep calm and grounding. It promotes the preventative aspect of yoga by keeping the spine and other tissues of the body supple, ultimately allowing the body to open up to healing. Although the poses are “easy” and appropriate for all levels of students, the work of staying there and opening up to receiving can be felt of as advanced yoga. Please contact the teacher if you have any spinal disc or bone conditions before coming to class to discuss your background.
Sound and Movement: A Yoga and Sounding Exploration
Sunday January 14th, 2018
$40 per person (class passes not valid for this workshop)
Suitable for all.
Register by 01/07/2018 (space is limited to 6 students)
Applied sound effects matter. Your body is matter.
The use of both internally and externally created sound allows us to explore more deeply into each pose, gently meeting barriers and engaging them in a unique way. This cycle of “call and response” with our bodies, sounding and then listening and following the movement that comes is an opportunity for a uniquely embodied experience that you will definitely not want to miss.
During this workshop we will be exploring several easily accessible floor level yoga poses and sounding techniques. We will gently meet our layers of boundaries within a pose, then apply the technique of “sounding” to see how that shifts, changes, or deepens our exploration.
Kori Tolbert and Julie Finer are co-teaching this fusion workshop for those who are interested in taking their body awareness, practice, and conversation to the next level.
Who should attend
- Those seeking to find a deeper level of release of long held patterns that may present as pain or a barrier in the physical, mental, emotional or energetic bodies.
- Those looking to engage their body in a new way and find new pathways to movement.
- Those seeking to explore or are curious.
- Those seeking body informed health and wellness.
